Khalid digs his own grave

Khalid does not care for the public. By freezing all Federal projects, he will deny the rakyat’s basic necessity since the projects will also cover new schools, public colleges, mosques, new jetties for fishermen, etc. (Graphic by Dayang Norazhar/The Mole)

Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim is digging his own grave. How deep would it be is him to decide but the rakyat of Selangor should pelt him with faeces and rotten eggs – if not swords and stones – for freezing all Federal projects in the state.

Latest, he ordered the state government to blanket a freeze on all Federal projects, including highway and light rail transit (LRT), pending an appeal of a landmark decision on the controversial Automatic Enforcement System (AES).

This follows a decision by a High Court to disallow the Sepang Municipal Council (MPS) from removing the speed cameras, ruling that the Federal Government is the proper authority on AES rather than the local council.

Why must he compare the two units of AES to the multi-billion ringgit new roads and LRT which will facilitate millions of people in Selangor and the Klang Valley? You think they care much about the AES in Sepang than having a good road and an effective transportation problem in their areas?
