SHAH ALAM, Oct 17 (Bernama) -- The Selangor Barisan Nasional (BN)
plans to have a massive New Year's Eve Countdown for the 2013 event under the auspices
of 'Sayangi Selangor, Yakini BN' at the I-City theme park in Section 7 here on
Dec 31, says its co-ordinator, Datuk Seri Md Zin Mohamed.
He said the event was aimed at portraying the growing support by the people for BN in Selangor, and BN's continued commitment towards development in the state.
"At last year's New Year's Eve Countdown event attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, we attracted more than 150,000 people. At the recent Selangor BN Hari Raya open house in Sungai Buloh attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, we had more than 300,000 people there.
"We hope that Selangor BN's countdown at I-City this year will be an even bigger event," he said after visiting I-City's latest tourist attractions here today.
Md Zin, the MP for Sepang, who is leading the charge with other BN leaders to win back Selangor from Pakatan Rakyat, said feedback and support from the people in Selangor was growing, especially in the last two years.
